Newhalf refers to persons assigned male at birth but identify as female. They may undergo HRT and GCS to align physical appearance with their gender identity. Mtf are frequently associated with the crossdressing community and like sharing their femininity through fashion and makeup. Certain people may consider themselves otoko no ko on a part-time or full-time basis, depending on their comfort level. In recent years, otoko no ko have become more visible and accepted in society, leading to increased awareness and understanding.
